Broad River Animal Hospital is happy to provide dental services! Broad River Animal Hospital has been providing pet dental care for over 15 years. Our practice treats your pet much like yourself with recommended dental scans of your teeth. In doing so, it helps prevent issues later on in life.
Dental radiography is a painless and safe way to obtain images of your pet’s mouth, teeth, and jawbones. During a routine dental exam, your veterinarian may recommend digital dental x-rays to assess the health of your pet’s teeth and gums. Digital dental x-rays can expose bone tumors, tooth impactions, and fractures, and painful lesions on the surface of your pet’s teeth that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Digital dental x-rays can also expose:
Periodontal Disease
Broken and Discolored Teeth
Suborbital Swellings
Nasal Cavity Disease
Dentigerous Cysts
Cavities
Retained Teeth
The use of digital x-ray equipment significantly reduces your pet’s exposure to increased levels of radiation by a third of the amount, making it safer for your pet as well as the staff involved. Also, the new enlarged image will make it increasingly easier to see, share, and store the digital file for each patient’s records.
It will only take a few minutes to complete, sedation is required for this procedure. Please contact Broad River Animal Hospital to learn more about this new advanced level of technology and how it could help your pet. (203) 846-3495 or www.BroadRiverAnimalHospital.com.
